The MegaRAID 320-2 was the successor to the
hugely popular and top-performing MegaRAID Elite
1600. The 320-2, like the 1600, sports a
64-bit PCI 66 MHz interface, not PCI-X, limiting it
s theoretical maximum transfer rate to about 528
MB/s. These cards are quite popular on the
surplus sites as branded cards from major server
OEMs, making them affordable to enthusiasts and DIY
builders.
Configuration of the card can
also be done through its own BIOS, or through Windows
in LSI's Global Array Manager:

Global Array Manager looks very
dated and is not as easy to use as LSI's more
updated front-ends. For some unknown
reason, the 320-2 only works with this software,
and not the newer ones.
