RAID-0 Performance
Now, we move on to the fun stuff. We
hooked up 4x OCZ Vertex 2 SSDs to the EX8760T,
and configured a RAID-0 array. We tested
at both stripe size extremes, starting with the
smallest, then later the largest. Here are
the results:

The Crystal DiskMark results show that the
EX8760 consistently provides great performance
at both stripe size extremes. Unlike other
controllers that flourish only at the
middle-sized stripes, the EX8760T doesn't
struggle with the large 1024k or the tiny 64k
stripes. Obviously, the Atto benchmarks
show some erratic numbers, which we've seen many
times in the past with other controllers.
This is usually a result of caching, and
typically rectified by the manufacturer through
a firmware update.
