Introduction

I like things that do more with less. I like video cards with TV Tuners, DVD players that play DIVX movies, multi-format burners, universal remotes, stacked washer and dryer combo units, hybrid vehicles, Panda Express combo plates, and shampoos-and-conditioner-in-one.  All these give you more bang for your buck, and sometimes in less space as well.  The Y-E Data YD-8V07 does just that - it gives you more functionality with less space. 

In our world of endless modding and upgrading, space becomes a premium especially with SFF PCs.  The YD-8V07 is a combination 3.5" floppy disk drive with a digital media reader/writer, all rolled into a single 3.5" form factor.  Furthermore, unlike other products with similar features and design that uses USB 1.1, the YD-8V07's USB 2.0 connection becomes critical in transferring large amounts of data to and from the flash memory modules.  However, the FDD connects to your motherboard using the standard 34-pin ribbon cable.
