Conclusion

When WD came out with the RE2-GP 1TB, we praised its economical power use without sacrificing Enterprise-grade reliability.  Then, WD released the Scorpio 320GB.  That kicked ass, defeating all other non-SAS 2.5" HDDs available.  Now, the Caviar Black comes to play, and just obliterates everyone's performance scores, sending home many other just by sheer intimidation.  Its like the Vito Andolini Corleone of hard drives - an offer you just can't refuse.
