Seagate warranty periods are 1 year, 2 years or 5 years from the documented date of purchase, depending on the type of product and where it was purchased: The warranty period is 5 years for internal disc drives purchased anywhere worldwide (i.e., products requiring incorporation within the chassis of a computer - normally labeled "Internal Hard Drive Upgrade Kit"). For all other products purchased in a European Union Member State, the warranty period is 2 years. Otherwise, the warranty period is 1 year.
