Four
hundred gigabytes?! Are you nuts? You'll
never use it up! Yeah, that's what I thought.
Now I only have less than 20GBs left free.
Don't ask!The 7K400 is no doubt the most spacious
hard disk available to date. Hitachi has taken
IBM's HDD business and accelerated it to unheard-of
performance levels and capacities. Before the
7K400, there was the 7K250. A 250GB thug of a
drive that bested all others in its class.
Now, the 7K400 comes into the ring, slapping its
little bro's hand, taking over where the 7K250 left
off. Here, we will see if it can deliver more
than its predecessor.
The following are the
7K400 specs as stated by HGST on their website:

1
GB equals one billion bytes when referring to hard
drive capacity; accessible capacity may be less.
2
Buffer capacity includes 271 KB used for drive
firmware.
3
Includes command overhead.
The 7K400 is covered by
a 3-year warranty.
