A few months back, we published a comparison of several
100GB 2.5" HDD and
120GB 2.5" HDDs.
Today, we examine Seagate's mini-behemoth, the Momentus 5400.3 160GB
2.5" HDD. With a 160GB 2.5" HDD, laptops, MP3 players and PMPs can be
upgraded with immense portable storage. Games, multimedia files,
music, movies and your standard OS and work files can all reside nicely
and comfortably. As for MP3 players, 160GB would give you close to
47,000 3.5MB songs. Crazeee!!! Personally, I've transplanted
this 5400.3 in my old Archos Jukebox Recorder 20, and it works
splendidly!
But what about performance? Did this next generation of Momentus take
a step forward or back? We shall see...
