HOLIDAY 2008
ROAD WARRIOR'S GIFT GUIDE

Bags
So now we have all the stuff for the road
warrior, where do we put all of it? Well, we
think a backpack is a logical place to put things.
It may not be as stylish as a messenger bag, but its
more stable. It may not be as easy to bring as
a roller, but it frees both hands to let you text,
chow down on a Jalapeno Six Dollar Burger, while
running down the terminal because your gate was
changed. The backpack we thought to have the
best combination of style, protection, space, and
least weight, is this:
Backpack:
Logitech Kinetik
Backpack

Semi-rigid
plastic-foam-like shell on the back side protects
contents well

Thick padding on the shoulder straps, and on the
backrest

Wait belt eases weight off your shoulders.
Note the zippered MP3 player compartment on the left
strap with a hole for headphone wires

Side compartment for passport, boarding pass, gum,
wet socks, etc.

Up to is another zippered mini-pouch for pens,
toothbrush, sunglasses, flash drives, etc.

Inside, there outer compartment holds smaller items,
papers, etc.

Same compartment, opposite view, showing
mini-pouches secured with velcro

The second compartment is more enclosed and
protected - specifically designed for your portable
computer

Same compartment, opened wider
Beautifully styled, the
Kinetik says you are a high-tech, modern person, not
a college kid or a hiker lost in the airport.
Its tremendous capacity and numerous storage options
is more than enough to hold all those gadgets and
gizmos we talked about. Plus, its got enough
space to hold even old-tech memory devices called
paper and pens. Although big enough to carry
up to 15.4" notebooks, the Kinetik weighs in at
under 4 lbs when empty. Truly this is the
coolest backpack for high-tech professionals ever
sold.
Now for all the ladies,
we have a special recommendation. This one is
not a backpack, but rather a roller. Designed
to keep weight off your back, this product has
enough space for 15.4" laptops, plus all your
gadgets, papers, etc. At around 5 lbs empty
(the lightest we've seen yet!), this makes lifting
the bag to the overhead bin a bit less of a chore:
Ladies' Roller:
Kensington Contour
Balance Notebook Roller

There is another version
of the Contour Balance Roller, not specific for
women. Although, it is not as stylish as this
one, looking a bit more common. Nevertheless,
Kensington has the right formula in creating a bag
that appeals to the needs and wants of the woman
tech-traveler.
Well, we hope you've
enjoyed this brief article on some of our picks for
a mobile warrior. Any of these items would
make great Holiday Gifts for them, or yourself.
After all, you have to stimulate the economy and
burn through those gift cards anyway, right.
Happy
Holidays!
