Zotac in North America is a relative newcomer.
But in Japan and Europe, they have enjoyed much
success, garnering top spots in sales for nVidia-based
graphics cards. Here we have Zotac USA's first
offering, the awesome new 8800GT card.
Slightly overclocked above nVidia reference design,
the Zotac 8800GT is a fantastic bargain for gamers
and those looking for superb video and DVD playback.
The 8800GT's new G92 GPU is manufactured using a
65nm process, packing 754 million transistors and
producing far less heat. The 8800GT sports new
yellow-colored DVI ports, differentiating themselves
from the white DVI ports. These yellow DVI
ports, when connected to the yellow DVI-HDMI
adapter, signify digital audio can be carried
through HDMI. There is a 2-pin header on the
8800GT card and a short cable which allows the user
to connect SPDIF output from the sound card.
If your SPDIF output is RCA, which most of the time
it is, you'll need to splice that cable onto an RCA
male connector somehow.

The 8800GT by Zotac
shows a tremendous improvement over the previous
generation with not much of a price premium
considering the advantages. Single-slot and
lower power consumption just confirms that this is a
MUST-BUY. A superlative product!
