Introduction
Fan
controllers are nearly ubiquitous parts of high-end
performance PCs. It allows users to control
fan velocity (and thus its corresponding noise),
monitor temperatures and sometimes system voltages
in real-time.
Most controllers go by the name of fanbus, baybus,
or rheobus, and more popular models control four 12V
fans. Some control more, some less. Many

bay-mounted fan controller, temperature monitor and
clock all-in-one. It has a BEAUTIFUL display
showing relative speeds and actual tachometer
reading of up to seven fans. It features PWM
circuitry to control fan voltage. A loud
temperature/tach alarm and a visual HDD activity
indicator are also provided.
