User Experience

The TJ05 is an excellent case when filling it with components.  The key feature of this case is the front-panel LCD.  Click on the images for a larger version:

Nice blue EL backlight! On the left are the time, date, clock and alarm indicators.  The alarm is also audible.  On the lower right are the Power and HDD activity indicators, just like the case LEDs.  There are pass-through wires so you can use both.  In the middle is the fan activity graphic.  It lets you know that the fan(s) are spinning.

The experience is summarized below:

THE GOOD:

• Breathtaking glossy black paintjob

• Solidly built, just like a tank

• Front aluminum panel is beautiful and sturdy; does not feel like a cheap afterthought add-on

• Plenty of space even for the largest of motherboards

• LCD display is elegantly designed and very useful

• Rear 120mm ideal for a small radiator

• Generous front panel ports

THE BAD:

• Weighs like a tank because of the steel chassis; only the front panel is aluminum

• Motherboard tray not removable

• Plastic feet prone to easy breakage

• Window fans are unfiltered; case would easily collect dust in time

• User guide is anemic

• Would have preferred a couple more temp probes for dual CPU, dual GPU setups

• Front LCD is available in blue backlighting only
