AVERMEDIA AVERTVHD MCE A180
Package Contents
The AVerTVHD MCE A180 is sold only as a "white box"
item. No fancy packaging, just a plain white
box with a simple product label. Clearly, this
product is not for newbies. Inside, we have
the card itself and a warranty registration card.
The lack of a CD, remote control, cables, and fancy
four-color glossy packaging shows in the rock-bottom
price.
The card itself is a standard-height 5-volt PCI
card. It will not fit into those 3.3v slots
often found as 64-bit PCI or PCI-X slots.
Unlike older HDTV tuner cards, the AVerTVHD MCE A180
only has two major components - the tuner in the
shield can, and the main ASIC which is a Philips
SAA7133HL.
The rear bracket connectors are shown below.
Left to right: Antenna RF coax in, S-VID in,
Composite video in, L and R audio in.
